Fire Training

Another year, another round of fun training at Cambridge Tasmania Fire Training. What a super dooper experience. I can tell you it is just as fun 2nd time around. This time I learned a heap more than the first time as i wasn't nearly as nervy as the first time. We get to put fires out using extinguishers, hoses with water and hoses with foam. It is another of the many fabulous opportunities that come from going to Antarctica. Using breathing apparatus in structural fires is quite a daunting thing to do and I am pretty happy to leave that job to the professionals any time that I am back on the mainland!
